There are dozens of cat breeds, some more popular than others, but each bringing something unique to the realm of cats...

Most domestic cats that people own are not pedigree cats, meaning that they are a mix of different breeds. Only 3 percent of domestic cats are purebred, there are no distinct advantages or disadvantages of buying a purebred cat and they can be very expensive. Different groups from around the globe have classified just over 100 different purebred cats.

That´s a lot of cat breeds...

The differences in breeds consist of the shape of the body, the size, and length of coat, colour of coat, colour of the eyes, personality and more. Today, there are two main categories that cats are grouped in, short hair and long hair. The most common out of the two being short hair cats.

Maybe you are familiar with some of this cat breeds... Anyway, I asure you they are all beautiful and inteligent cats and they all deserve your love and attention.
